Laura York
Special interest: Athletic presentations & event preparations
After having completed a teaching degree I headed over to teach PE in the UK. Deciding to return to Melbourne to challenge myself and expand my knowledge, following my passion for the human body, movement and the musculoskeletal system. I completed a Diploma of Remedial Massage followed by an Advanced Diploma in Myotherapy. I have also had the opportunity to work with the Melbourne United basketball team as well as the National Institute of Circus Arts.
I have a love of trail running and have a background in athletics and through these I have been able to obtain a greater understanding of the body. Also having experienced a number of injuries over my sporting life, I have gained an insight into how important treatment is for both prevention and in the rehabilitation process. This has stimulated my desire to help others back from injury and discomfort and help get them back to the activities they love.
